The city grew up around its hot mineral water, and small spa hotels and wellness resorts remain part of its identity, along with landmarks like Cabot's Pueblo Museum. It sits on the north side of the valley above I-10, with Palm Drive and Pierson Boulevard forming the main commercial streets and the wind turbines of the San Gorgonio Pass visible to the west.
In 2014 Desert Hot Springs became one of the first California cities to allow large-scale cannabis cultivation, and sizable cultivation and processing facilities have since been built in its industrial zones. That sector sits alongside contractors, auto repair, local retail and a growing residential base, much of which commutes to jobs in Palm Springs and elsewhere in the valley.
Cannabis operators must meet state licensing rules that include video surveillance and recordkeeping, so camera recorders, storage and network uptime are compliance issues, not conveniences. Spa hotels need guest Wi-Fi and secure booking systems. Across the city, wind, dust and heat are hard on equipment, and some industrial sites have limited internet options, so backup connectivity and power protection deserve attention.
The drive is typically about 2 hours from Burbank, sometimes more, via I-210 and SR-210 to I-10 east and then Palm Drive north. Most support is remote, including monitoring, help desk and security. On-site visits are planned project trips for installs and upgrades, scheduled subject to scope and technician availability. Failed drives or recorder disks can be shipped or dropped off for data recovery.

Use recorders with redundant drives, keep them on a UPS and monitor their health so a failing disk is caught early. Put cameras on a separate network segment and keep a documented process for exporting footage when regulators ask. We do not interpret licensing rules, but we can make the technical side dependable.
Choose outdoor-rated access points and sealed enclosures, mount them securely and route cables through conduit where possible. Indoors, keep equipment closets closed, filtered and cool, and clean dust from fans on a schedule. Monitoring flags a device that drops offline, which often happens before a full failure.
Usually. Stucco walls, courtyards and spread-out casitas need more access points than a single building. We can survey coverage, place outdoor-rated access points and separate guest traffic from your booking and payment systems. Installation is a scheduled on-site project, often best done in the quieter summer months.
For most needs, yes. Remote tools cover software, email, security alerts and account problems. We bundle hardware work into planned visits to make each trip count. If a drive fails before the next visit, you can ship it or drop it off in Burbank and we will assess it for data recovery.
Stop using the device and call us. We diagnose first and quote before any recovery work. Equipment can be dropped off in Burbank or shipped to us, and we can advise on packing it safely.
